Retail store maintenance and customer feedback for multi-store chains

Put a QR label on each checkout, freezer case, fitting room and door. Store staff scan it, tap what is wrong, and a request reaches maintenance with the store and the equipment attached. Shoppers can answer a feedback question on the same phone camera.

How it works today

Store faults get lost between store and head office

A manager emails the area manager, who forwards it to facilities. By the time a contractor is called, nobody knows which case or which store.

Every store is a different story

One store reports everything, another reports nothing. Without requests per piece of equipment, you cannot tell a neglected store from a quiet one.

Shopper feedback is a yearly survey

A broad survey says customers are unhappy, but not which store, which week or what about.

Setting up a site

An afternoon, not a project

No register to build first. Print blank numbered labels, stick them on, then name each one by scanning it.

1

Print blanks

Pick a site and a number. They come out numbered and ready.

2

Stick them on

No decisions yet. Just get them on the equipment.

3

Scan and name

Scanning a blank label offers to set it up. Name it, save, next.

4

Live from there

Anyone who scans it can now report a problem against it.

The reports

Where repairs pile up, site by site

Raw counts only rank your sites by size. Requests per piece of equipment is the number that survives comparing a small site with a large one.

✓

Typical fix time, not the average

One job that drags on for weeks pulls the average far from a normal repair. The median shows what a typical fix really takes.

✓

What keeps coming back

Reported again within 30 days of being fixed. The number that justifies replacing it.

What you get

✓

Report in seconds from the shop floor

Scan, pick Out of order, Needs cleaning, Damaged, Safety issue or Something else, add up to two photos. No app, no login for store staff.

✓

Tagged with the store and the equipment

Each request names the store and the item. Email goes to the store and the account owner, and to a technician when assigned.

✓

Contractors limited to their stores

Add your refrigeration or door contractor as a technician and share only the stores they cover.

✓

Stores compared fairly

Reports show requests per machine, median fix time, oldest open request and ageing of open jobs by store.

Customer feedback

Feedback campaigns for retail stores

Ask shoppers the same question in every store and see where to focus first.

How QR code campaigns work ›

✓

Customer satisfaction survey for every store

A Satisfaction Check at the till or fitting rooms: one question, three faces, optional comment. The report lists stores biggest opportunity first.

✓

Email sign-ups at the counter

A Lead Capture form with your own headline and up to seven fields. Each lead emails that store.

✓

Each store's own social page

A Link campaign can send every store's code to its own Instagram or Facebook page, falling back to a shared link.

Frequently asked questions

Do store staff need an app or a login to report a fault?

No. They scan with the phone camera and a web page opens. Only people who work the maintenance queue sign in.

Can an area manager see only their stores?

A technician can be limited to the locations shared with them. The account owner sees every store.

Does it handle planned maintenance like quarterly HVAC servicing?

No. There is no scheduled or recurring maintenance. KudoTaps handles faults that people report and the repairs that follow.

Can it connect to our facilities or ticketing system?

No. There are no integrations, webhooks or public API. Your equipment list and report summaries download as CSV files, and you can ask for a CSV of your maintenance requests, which we email to you.

How do we roll it out to many stores?

Import equipment from a spreadsheet (up to 500 rows) or print blank numbered labels per store and name each by scanning. Campaign codes are created in bulk for up to 500 locations at once, each with a poster made for it.

What does it cost per store?

Operations is $59 per location per month and includes Maintenance Requests and campaigns. Marketing, for campaigns only, is $29. The first paid plan has a 14-day free trial.

Label one location, run it a month, see whether the numbers tell you something you did not already know.
