Campaign use case

An employee pulse survey by QR code, for every site

For frontline staff without a work email or a desk, the easiest pulse survey is a QR code in the break room with one question. Staff scan with their own phone, tap a face, and can add a comment. There is no login, and you see the results for each site side by side.

The problem

Why this is hard today

Frontline staff never see the survey

Engagement surveys go to work email. Cashiers, cleaners, drivers and floor staff often do not have one, or never check it.

Annual surveys are too slow

One big survey a year tells you how people felt months ago. A quick, regular check shows when something changes.

Sites are lumped together

Company-wide results hide the one site where morale has dropped after a manager change.

How it works

How employee pulse surveys works with KudoTaps

1

Pick one question you will act on

Keep it short and specific, up to 120 characters: "How was your shift today?" or "Did you have what you needed to do your job this week?"

2

Put a code in every staff area

One campaign gives each site its own code and poster. Put it in the break room, by the clock-in point or on the back of the staff door.

3

Staff tap a face

No app and no account. The vote saves on the tap, then staff can add a comment or skip it.

4

Look at results by site, then change the question

Check the positive rate per site. When you have learned what you need, reword the question; every code updates and the posters stay up.

What you get

What you get

✓

Works on staff's own phones

Any phone camera opens the page. No app to roll out, no accounts to set up.

✓

No login required

Staff do not sign in, so a response is not tied to a staff account. Each scan records only city, country and device type.

✓

Results per site

Each site has its own code, so the report shows the positive rate and comment count site by site, biggest opportunity first.

✓

A new question whenever you like

Rotate the topic monthly without printing anything new.

✓

Comments in the inbox

Optional comments land in the inbox, filtered by type, tied to the site.

Frequently asked questions

Is it anonymous?

Staff do not log in and the form does not ask for a name, so a response is not linked to an account. Each scan does record city, country and device type, and anything a person types in the comment is visible. Say this plainly to staff so they trust it.

Will a sad-face answer email someone?

Yes. Every sad face emails the account owner. Make sure the owner email goes to someone appropriate for staff feedback, or use a separate campaign that HR monitors.

Can I stop customers answering?

Put the code only in staff-only areas. Anyone who scans the code can answer, so placement is the control.

Can I run a full engagement survey with many questions?

No. This is a one-question pulse with an optional comment. It sits alongside, not instead of, a full engagement survey.

Does each staff area count as a location?

Codes are created per location in your account. If your sites are already locations for customer campaigns, the staff campaign uses those same locations.

Run it at every location
