Campaign use case

Customer complaint alerts the moment a customer is unhappy

When a customer taps the sad face on a KudoTaps Satisfaction Check, the account owner gets an email right away with the question and the location. Every response, comment and complaint also lands in one inbox you can filter, so unhappy customers are seen the same day instead of discovered in a review next week.

The problem

Why this is hard today

Complaints arrive too late

The first you hear of a bad experience is a one-star review, long after you could have done anything about it.

Feedback is scattered

Comment cards in one drawer, emails in another inbox, a note on the manager's phone. Nobody sees the whole picture.

You do not know which site it was

A vague complaint with no location is hard to act on when you run many sites.

How it works

How customer complaint alerts works with KudoTaps

1

Set up a Satisfaction Check at every location

One question, such as "Is everything OK with your visit today?", with a code for each location. Place it where customers are still on site: tables, waiting areas, fitting rooms.

2

A sad face triggers an email

The vote is saved the moment it is tapped, and a sad face emails the account owner with the question and the location name.

3

Read the comment in the inbox

If the customer adds a comment, it is attached to their vote in the inbox, filterable alongside leads and other complaints.

4

Fix it while it still matters

Call the site, send a manager to the table, restock, clean. The sooner you act, the more likely the customer leaves with the problem solved.

What you get

What you get

✓

Email on every sad face

No dashboard to keep checking. A poor rating comes to you by email as it happens.

✓

Location on every alert

Each code belongs to one location, so every alert already says where it came from.

✓

One inbox for everything

Satisfaction responses, leads and complaints sit in one inbox you can filter by type.

✓

Biggest opportunity first

The campaign report lists locations by results, so repeated complaints at one site stand out.

✓

Optional comment

Customers can explain what went wrong in their own words, or simply tap and go.

Frequently asked questions

Who receives the complaint alert?

The account owner receives the email. If a site manager needs to act, forward it or give them access to the inbox. Sad-face alerts are not sent to each location separately.

Can I get alerts by text message?

No. Alerts are email only. There are no SMS or push notifications.

Can I reply to the customer?

Only if they choose to leave contact details in their comment. The Satisfaction Check does not ask for a name or email, which is part of why people answer.

What about Google reviews?

Run a Smart Review campaign alongside this one. Each location gets a code that opens its own Google, Yelp or Tripadvisor review page. Customers can leave a public review, or send you a private message instead.

Do I get an alert for neutral answers?

No. Only the sad face sends an email. Neutral and happy answers are in the report and the inbox.

What does it cost?

The Marketing plan is $29 per location per month, with a 14-day free trial on your first paid plan.
