Restaurant equipment maintenance requests and guest feedback for multi-unit restaurant groups

Put a QR label on every fryer, walk-in, ice machine and dishwasher. A cook scans it, taps what is wrong, and the request lands with the restaurant and the equipment already on it. It takes seconds, so it gets done during service.

How it works today

Reporting competes with service

Nobody fills in a form at seven on a Friday. If it takes longer than a moment, it does not get reported.

Equipment failure costs you straight away

A dead fryer or a warm walk-in means lost covers and lost stock from the moment it fails, not when the paperwork catches up.

Every location makes its own case

Without a per-location number, refurbishment budget goes to whoever complains hardest.

Setting up a site

An afternoon, not a project

No register to build first. Print blank numbered labels, stick them on, then name each one by scanning it.

1

Print blanks

Pick a site and a number. They come out numbered and ready.

2

Stick them on

No decisions yet. Just get them on the equipment.

3

Scan and name

Scanning a blank label offers to set it up. Name it, save, next.

4

Live from there

Anyone who scans it can now report a problem against it.

The reports

Where repairs pile up, site by site

Raw counts only rank your sites by size. Requests per piece of equipment is the number that survives comparing a small site with a large one.

✓

Typical fix time, not the average

One job that drags on for weeks pulls the average far from a normal repair. The median shows what a typical fix really takes.

✓

What keeps coming back

Reported again within 30 days of being fixed. The number that justifies replacing it.

What you get

✓

Fast enough for a working kitchen

Scan, tap the problem, carry on. Add up to two photos if they help, skip them if not.

✓

Urgent jobs go to the top

Set refrigeration and extraction faults to High priority and assign them to a technician, who gets an email. Everyone can filter to their own queue.

✓

Per location, per machine

Reports show requests per machine, so you see which kitchen breaks most for its size, and which single machine keeps coming back within 30 days.

✓

Photos settle the argument

Report, before and after photos attach to the request, with the outcome and a timestamped log of who did what.

Customer feedback

Feedback campaigns for restaurants

Ask guests the same question at every restaurant, and see the results location by location.

How QR code campaigns work ›

✓

Table and restroom checks

A Satisfaction Check on tables or restroom doors: one question, three faces, optional comment. A sad face emails the account owner.

✓

Loyalty and catering sign-ups

A Lead Capture form collects name, email and phone. Each new lead emails that restaurant.

✓

One change, every location

Update the question or link centrally. The codes on the tables stay where they are, and reports list locations biggest opportunity first.

Frequently asked questions

Can kitchen staff report a fault without an account?

Yes. Anyone can scan and report. Only managers and technicians who work the queue sign in.

Will labels survive a kitchen?

Standard labels are printed stickers. For wash-down and high-heat areas, we can print, ship and install durable tags for a fee.

Does it monitor fridge temperatures?

No. There are no sensors. It relies on people reporting what they see, which is why a fast scan matters.

Can it schedule hood cleaning or equipment servicing?

No. There is no preventive or recurring maintenance scheduling. KudoTaps handles reported faults and the repairs that follow.

Can head office see every restaurant at once?

Yes. The account owner sees every location and the reports compare them side by side. Technicians can be limited to the restaurants they cover.

Does it connect to our POS or other systems?

No. There are no integrations or public API. Your equipment list and report summaries download as CSV files, and you can ask for a CSV of your maintenance requests, which we email to you.
