Campaign use case

QR codes that open each location's own social media page

A Link campaign sends each scan to a link, and each location can use its own saved link: its own Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or website. So one poster design goes to every site, but customers at each location land on that location's page. Locations without their own link fall back to a shared one, such as your brand account.

The problem

Why this is hard today

Every site makes its own sign

Local teams print their own QR codes for their own pages, in different styles, and some point to accounts that no longer exist.

One brand code sends everyone to head office

The brand account is not where local customers want to be. They want the page with their store's events and offers.

Nobody knows if the signs are working

A printed code gives you no idea whether anyone scans it, or whether it is even on the wall.

How it works

How social media follows per location works with KudoTaps

1

Save each location's link

Add each location's own Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube or website link. Venmo and Cash App are supported too, for tips.

2

Create one Link campaign

Pick the platform and a shared fallback link, then your locations. Each location's code opens its own saved link, or the shared one if it has none.

3

Send the posters

Posters are generated per location with that location's code, and can be emailed to each location's own address.

4

Check which locations are silent

The report shows scans per location and lists locations scanned versus silent, so you can follow up with sites where nobody is scanning.

What you get

What you get

✓

A link per location

Each location uses its own saved link, with a shared link as the fallback.

Change links without reprinting

Frequently asked questions

Can I see how many people followed us?

No. KudoTaps counts scans, not follows. Once the customer lands on Instagram or Facebook, what they do there is only visible in that platform's own insights.

What if a location does not have its own account?

Its code uses the campaign's shared link, for example your brand account. Add the location's own link later and the same printed code switches over.

Can I use this for tips?

Yes. Venmo and Cash App are link types, so each location's code can open that location's own account.

Do customers need an app?

They need a phone camera to scan. The link then opens in the browser or in the platform's app if they have it.

What does it cost?

The Marketing plan is $29 per location per month with unlimited QR codes. The Free plan includes 3 dynamic QR codes if you only need one or two.
