Warehouse and distribution center equipment maintenance requests by QR code

Put a QR label on each dock door, forklift, conveyor and battery charger. Anyone on any shift scans it, taps what is wrong, and maintenance gets a request tagged with the site and the asset. No app, no login for the floor.

How it works today

Night shift faults wait for day shift

A dock door fails at 3am. The supervisor means to tell maintenance in the morning, and the detail is lost at handover.

Reports say what, not which

A radio call says a conveyor is down. Which one, which zone, which building? Someone has to walk the floor.

Every DC compares differently

Without requests per asset by site, the largest building always looks busiest.

Setting up a site

An afternoon, not a project

No register to build first. Print blank numbered labels, stick them on, then name each one by scanning it.

1

Print blanks

Pick a site and a number. They come out numbered and ready.

2

Stick them on

No decisions yet. Just get them on the equipment.

3

Scan and name

Scanning a blank label offers to set it up. Name it, save, next.

4

Live from there

Anyone who scans it can now report a problem against it.

The reports

Where repairs pile up, site by site

Raw counts only rank your sites by size. Requests per piece of equipment is the number that survives comparing a small site with a large one.

✓

Typical fix time, not the average

One job that drags on for weeks pulls the average far from a normal repair. The median shows what a typical fix really takes.

✓

What keeps coming back

Reported again within 30 days of being fixed. The number that justifies replacing it.

What you get

✓

Report from the floor in seconds

Scan, pick Out of order, Damaged, Safety issue or Something else, add up to two photos. No app, no login for pickers or drivers.

✓

Tagged with site and asset

Each request names the exact door or machine. Email goes to the site and the account owner, and to the technician when assigned.

✓

Contractors see only their sites

Add your dock door or forklift service company as technicians and share only the sites they cover.

✓

Repeat offenders and ageing

Reports list assets reported again within 30 days of being fixed, open requests by age, and median fix time by site.

Customer feedback

Feedback campaigns for warehouses

Your customers here are your own people and the drivers at your docks. Ask them the same question at every site.

How QR code campaigns work ›

✓

Shift pulse checks

A Satisfaction Check in the break room: one question, three faces, optional comment, compared by site. Comments arrive in one inbox.

✓

Driver experience at the dock

A code at check-in asks drivers how their visit went, and the report lists sites biggest opportunity first.

✓

Hiring interest on site

A Lead Capture form collects name, phone and a message from people asking about jobs. Each lead emails that site.

Frequently asked questions

Does it handle forklift pre-shift inspections or preventive maintenance?

No. There are no checklists, service intervals or scheduled maintenance. KudoTaps handles faults that people report and the repairs that follow.

Should we use it for injury or incident reporting?

No. Reporters can flag a Safety issue on equipment, but injuries and incidents should follow your existing procedures.

Does it work on the night shift with no technician on site?

Yes. Reports are recorded and emailed to the site and the account owner straight away. Alerts are email only, with no SMS or push.

Does it integrate with our WMS or CMMS?

No. There are no integrations, webhooks or public API. Your equipment list and report summaries download as CSV files, and you can ask for a CSV of your maintenance requests, which we email to you.

Does it work without signal in the building?

It needs a data or Wi-Fi connection. There is no offline mode.

How do we label a large building?

Print blank numbered labels (up to 200 per batch), stick them on, and name each by scanning it. Or import up to 500 assets from a spreadsheet.

Start with one site

Label one location, run it a month, see whether the numbers tell you something you did not already know.
