Campaign use case

Change a printed QR code without reprinting it

You can change what a printed QR code does if it is a dynamic code: the printed pattern stays the same, and the destination is stored on the server. In KudoTaps, editing a campaign's question or link updates every location's code at once, so the posters already on the wall keep working with the new content.

The problem

Why this is hard today

A printed code is stuck with its first link

Static QR codes have the destination baked in. When the page moves, the code is dead and every poster has to come down.

Reprinting across many sites is expensive

New posters, shipping, and asking every location to swap them out, then checking that they did.

Questions go stale

You asked about cleanliness last quarter. Now you want to ask about speed, but the old question is printed on every table.

How it works

How update printed QR codes works with KudoTaps

1

Run your codes as a campaign

One campaign holds one code per location. All of them are dynamic.

2

Edit once

Change the Satisfaction Check question or the Link destination in the campaign. Every code in the campaign shows the new version straight away.

3

Leave the posters up

Nothing on the wall changes. The next customer who scans sees the new question or lands on the new link.

4

Rename, archive or restore

Rename a campaign as it changes purpose. Archive it when you are done; the codes keep working, and you can restore it later.

What you get

What you get

✓

Campaign-wide edits

One change to the question or link updates every location's code.

✓

Per-location links kept

In Link campaigns, locations with their own saved link keep it; the shared link is the fallback for the rest.

✓

Archive without breaking codes

Archived campaigns' codes still work, so a forgotten poster never leads to an error page.

✓

Add locations later

Run the campaign again to add new locations. Only the missing ones get new codes; existing posters are untouched.

✓

Results stay in one report

Scans and answers before and after the change stay in the same campaign report.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change a QR code I already printed from another generator?

Not that one. Only the service that created a dynamic code can change where it points. Codes created in KudoTaps can be changed at any time.

Can I change the lead form fields across every location at once?

No. Lead Capture form fields are edited per code, not campaign-wide. The question in a Satisfaction Check and the link in a Link campaign do update everywhere at once.

Will old answers be mixed with new ones?

Yes, they stay in the same campaign report. If you want a clean start for a new topic, create a new campaign and print its codes.

What happens to codes if I archive a campaign?

They keep working. Archiving tidies your list; it does not switch codes off. You can restore the campaign at any time.

Is there a free option?

The Free plan includes 3 dynamic QR codes you can repoint without reprinting. Campaigns across many locations are on the Marketing plan at $29 per location per month, with a 14-day free trial.
